Abstract:

In this paper, we construct a mathematical model of the nonlinear heat conduction problem for a doubly connected plate of variable thickness. The main methods of solution are the analytical method and the finite element method. For linearization of the boundary value problem of heat conduction, the Kirchhoff variable is used. Results are compared for linear and nonlinear problem statements for both methods.

Keywords: nonlinear heat conduction problem, Kirchhoff transformation, finite element method, variable thickness plate.
