Abstract:

When processing experimental data in different areas of scientific and technological activities, including transport, for subsequent probabilistic calculation, empirical distribution curves are verified for fitting theoretical curves, whose statistical parameters can be used in project designs. The article shows the possibility of using the entropy value as a quantitative measure of experience uncertainty in the assessment of the hypothesis of fitting empirical probability distribution curves to theoretical distribution laws.
