Abstract:

This article discusses the implementation of support systems and decision-making (DSS) in the management of traffic flows on major road network of the city under the strategic planning and operational management. Presents an analysis of the factors influencing the process of planning the structure and configuration of the transport system (data on the zonal division of the territory, the demand for travel and the level of service provided; the economic, financial and other indicators, normative and legislative documents). The use of a systematic approach in the planning and management of functioning of transport systems on the basis of systematic observation system to gather the necessary data and its periodic update in the databases of the DSS.
